My Old Navy jeans are giving me fits--I thought they would stay up better as my tummy expanded, but instead, they are falling down more and more! I have been really wanting to get a Bella Band. Have any of you ever used one? I think it would be worth the $$ in the long run, as it would save my hems from getting any more trodden on, plus I could use it for future pregnancies.
As far as baby goes, everything seems fine at 26+ weeks. I have my next appt. coming up on Monday, so I'll update again then.

I purchased a belly band through ebay and got to pick the color. It was cheaper than the Bella band and I figured it was probably about the same thing. I've used it a couple of times instead of using the rubberband on my jeans which has been a lot more comfortable. You are suppose to be able to use it with the maternity clothes but I haven't reached that point yet. I am glad I got one though.
This is interesting! I actually made something like this by snipping the straps off of a too-short Gap Body camisole, in order to modestly wear a couple of sweater/skirt sets where the sweater was a little too short and the skirt sat a little too low (think I just have a long waist- I can't wear one-piece swimsuits either). This is a neat product-
Thanks for the comments, everyone! Sarah, it was nice to hear from someone who is using one--it will be interesting to see how it works for you when you use it with maternity clothes, too. Congrats on your pregnancy, by the way! When are you due?
Samara--your homemade "bella band" sounds like a good idea! :) I don't have anything like that that I want to cut the straps off, though . . .
Zan, once again you have made me giggle! You are so right about needing to have hips to hold up the jeans--I am constantly tugging on them! And yes, they are the under the belly band kind . . . I actually love the band and find it more comfy than the classic over the belly panel; however, it does have its downfalls, as I've discovered. I have a couple pairs of classic maternity pants from my last pregnancy, which still work--but they're just not my favorites. :( I end up wearing my yoga-type PJ pants around the house a lot, too. They're just really comfy!
Thanks Carrie, I'm due August 29th. I am 12 weeks along now so I still have a long way to go.
Just in case anyone else is looking for a BellaBand, we sell them at our online store (http://www.DoulaShop.com). They're available in three sizes and several colors. The new colors should be arriving very soon.
Hey - you need to check out Belly Ups if you want to keep your pants up when pregnant. The web address is http://www.bellyups.com Trust me, they are a lifesaver!
